Apple Tea Bread

2 1/4 cups flour
2 1/2 tsps. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. lemon rind
1 cup unpeeles red apples (grated)
1/4 cup chopped nuts
2 eggs slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter (melted)

Sift dry ingredients, stir in lemon rind, nuts and apples.

Mix together beaten eggs, melted butter and milk and add to dry ingredients.  Stir lightly until
flour is moistened.  Turn into well greased pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Sprinkle top with streusel topping

Streusel Topping:  1 T. butter
                               1/4 cup brown sugar
                               2 T. flour
