Marlene Steiner's Brownies

2 c. sugar
1 cube butter
4 eggs

Beat these ingredients together.

2 1/2 squares of chocolate, melted and cooled.  Add to above.

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. pecans

Sift together flour and salt.  Add vanilla to milk.  Alternately add milk and flour mixture.  Add pecans.  Pour into greased 9" x 13" pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 23 minutes.  Cool to warm and frost.  Cool well before cutting.

FROSTING:

Melt 1 cube butter.  Add 1/4 c. evaporated milk.  Add 1 tsp. vanilla and 3 T. cocoa with 1 pkg. powdered sugar.  Beat thoroughly.  THIS WILL FROST 2 PANS OF BROWNIES.  Frost brownies while warm.  Cool in fridge and then cut.

Makes 24 brownies.  Doubles easily for 48 brownies.
