English Trifle

yellow cake baked and cooled (if trifle dish is round bake cake in round pans)
vanilla pudding
fruit (sliced peaches, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas, or whatever you prefer)
red jello
green jello
reserve juice from fruit (add a little rum flavoring and pour a little over each layer of cake)
whipped cream

start layering with the cake
followed by fruit
followed by the vanilla pudding
jello

repeat these four layers until bowl is filled

Top with whipped cream garnished with slivered almonds and fruits.
